Jon Finch

Live Fire and BBQ cooking expert, food writer and festival maker.

Back in 2010, Jon founded the Grillstock festival, a rip-roaring celebration of BBQ, music and drink that attracted over 20,000 visitors over the course of a weekend. In subsequent years he produced 12 Festivals under the brand, the largest being in East London bringing in 35,000 visitors. The brand also grew into a chain of 5 BBQ Smokehouses around the country of the same name.

Jon has also worked on a number of other festivals including producing the ‘Live Fire’ cooking stage at the multi-award winning Black Deer Festival and co-producing Chalfest and the all new Stroud Festival of Food and Drink.

Jon is now the co-owner Quay Street Diner in Bristol, a buzzing, vibrant restaurant with a menu offering diner classics from burgers and po-boys through to authentic tacos and lots of exciting veggie and vegan options.

He’s also a European Marketing Manager for Weber barbecues, overseeing all experiential and culinary activity.

Jon is the author of four cookery books including best seller, Grillstock, The BBQ Book.

In addition to the cookbooks, Jon has also written articles on BBQ for major national publications including Olive Mag, The Telegraph, The Times, The Independent, Metro, The Guardian, BBC Good Food, Shortlist and he was also featured in an FT article all about making homebrew cool.

Jon was featured on the only UK episode of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives hosted by Guy Fieri as well as appearing on Sunday Brunch, The One Show, BBC Good Food Show and This Morning..
