Classic Burger Sauce

This is my ‘go-to’ burger sauce. It’s used in the Diner on most of our burgers but it's also terrific on pretty much any sandwich you are making. Try it on a cheese toastie too spending a layer on the bread before the cheese goes on

This recipe makes about 500ml.

INGREDIENTS

  • 250ml mayo

  • 125ml ketchup

  • 50ml yellow ‘american’ mustard

  • 2 tbsp very finely minced gherkins

  • 2 tsp very finely minced shallots

  • Few splashes of Tabasco or Frank’s Red Hot

  • Few splashes of Worcestershire sauce

METHOD

  1. combine all the ingredients in a bowl

  2. spoon into onto everything you can think of
